Lesley Ann Brandt and Maria Bartiromo

Lesley Ann Brandt (born December 2, 1981) is an South African model, actress and TV host. Having started her acting career by appearing on the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity Brandt's American debut came in the form of her next role playing Naevia in the historical drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress has appeared on numerous television series in the past decade, including Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies and The Librarians. Brandt portrays the role of Mazikeen in the show based on urban fantasy Lucifer, which stars Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro. Brandt was raised in the city of Cape Town in South African. The family moved to Auckland, New Zealand with her family when she reached her late teens. Her career began as model in print as well as commercial advertisements. Prior to becoming an infamous model, she worked as a retail salesperson, and as a recruiter for the information technology industry. Her first starring part in the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity in which she played the character of Leilani Fa'auigaese. The year 2021 was the year that her first major role came as Naevia the slave girl in the Starz series Spartacus Blood and Sand. The character of Naevia has also been played by her in the Spartacus miniseries Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker was her co-star in three TV series that included Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010) as well as Legend of the Seeker (2008). Her first role was Mazikeen as a demon who is a bounty hunter in Netflix's top show Lucifer. It's her most memorable role so far. She co-stars in the show with Tom Ellis Lauren Germany Kevin Alejandro, and D. B. Woodside.

An experienced broadcaster with more than twenty years of experience writing about economics and business she was instrumental in establishing the television channel CNBC as being among the topmost on the market in the economy and business segment. The success of her journalistic work makes one believe that the woman was meant to be in this particular field. Maria when she was young, was unsure of the career path she wanted to pursue. She was then tempted to be an interior decorator. Journalism was too exciting for her to ignore. In addition to being an outstanding journalist but also her fiery character also provides an example to other women seeking greatness in a male-dominated industry. Awarded as one of "50 Faces of Decade" she became the first journalist woman to be inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame. Also, she is a writer and columnist.
